Charity Christmas Song Campaign 2011

After playing the festival season all summer, and now having to deal with the blues of winter setting in. New Groove Formation thought they would try and raise everyone’s spirit by writing a fun Christmas song and raising money for charity.

The song is a cross between The Pogues and The Specials and all profit will go to three charities close to our hearts Cancer Research UK, Great Ormand Street Hospital and The Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Families Association.

We feel its time to get a Christmas song back in the charts at Christmas and with your help all the way to number one, after all it is you the people who really decide what music gets in to the charts! At the same time we can raise a lot of money for some great causes that always need a little extra help, what better time to do it than Christmas, the season of giving.

Two years ago proved that the power is in the people. That when we stand strong together great things can happen. Rage Against the Machine got to number one that Christmas and this year can be our turn. Have a listen to the track if you like it and want to donate some money to charity back our song. Follow our facebook page and please tell all your friends to do the same. Then two weeks before Christmas we will release it and you can do your bit to push it up the charts and raise lots of money for charity.

New Groove Formation have been smashing their way through the festival circuit for the last 5 years, playing Bestival, Beautiful days, Boomtown, Strawberry Fair and Bedford River festival to name a few. Supporting The Levellers, Bad Manners, Dred Zone, Flogging Molly, Stero MC’s, The Free Stylers, Neville Staples and loads more. We thought it was time to give something back by raising some money and bringing a Christmas song back in the charts. So please support our campaign.
